In April my wife's job sent her up to Seattle for a week-long conference. So our son, Ian, and I decided to tag along and do the "toursit thing." Here's some of the photos from our trip - including our son's first airplane ride...
Picking out our plane in Burbank...
The Seattle skyline. Proof that the sun comes out some days!
And of course no trip to Seattle would be complete without the customary shot of the Space Needle.
Our guy was pretty tuckered out...
And what's a trip without visiting the first Starbucks and Ian having his first sip of hot chocolate! While Southern California was roasting, we were enjoying 50 and 60-degree weather. It even snowed one night!
Another perk of the trip was to see our good friend, Mark (on the right), who works up in the Seattle area for the government. He and I worked together for several years, he was the best man in my wedding, and he's also Ian's Godfather.
And we went to the zoo and saw lions (pictured here), and tigers (they were sleeping), and bears (they were sleeping, too)
Luckily we had some free time to shop along Pike Street, watch some street performers, and run into some... well... odd people... But nothing was as good as returning home and getting back to work...
... At least it was nice to come home!
Take care.
