Taylor...Kelley...and the Scary Dairy...

We had so much fun with our group of high school seniors a few weeks ago that we invited a couple of them to a fun photo shoot at the Scary Dairy. Taylor and Kelley, the best friends off to Hawaii for college, jumped at the chance. It was awesome getting to know them better and having the opportunity to be creative with their gorgeousness!

We even got Taylor and Kelley's sisters in on the action! These four girls have known each other since Taylor and Kelley were in kindergarten...now they're all grown up!

Taylor and Kelley...you two are so awesome! And absolutely beautiful on the inside and out. And so much fun!!! Thank you for letting us take your pictures again...although we don't think you minded! And thank you to your moms and sisters for hanging out at the Scary Dairy...and getting locked in twice! We wish you both the best of luck in the next phase of your life. Watch out world...here come Taylor and Kelley!

Seniors Rock! Class of 2011

Five girls...five moms...two photographers...one assistant...equals an awesome afternoon! Margaret contacted us about six months ago to inquire about senior portraits for her daughter, Hannah. At the time, we were toying with the idea of launching a senior portrait package that would involve groups of friends. Margaret and Hannah were excited about the idea and began recruiting friends. We had no idea we would end up with five in one afternoon!

All the girls play soccer together on various teams and they all attend high school in Ventura. Hannah will be attending Cal State Channel Islands to study nursing. Taylor is off to Hawaii to study environmental science. Merissa is looking into criminal justice and possibly law enforcement. Riley is headed to North Carolina on a scholarship and Kelley will be joining Taylor in Hawaii to study nursing. These gorgeous and bright young women have their whole lives ahead of them, full of opportunity and experiences they can only dream about now...

Five friends headed down five different roads in life...we wish you all the best life has to offer! Congratulations, good luck, and HAVE FUN!!!

A Little Slugger Named Roc... ~ Fountain Valley

One of our dearest clients, Megan, referred her brother and his family to us for a Beautiful Baby session. We love when our clients do that! Missy and Jeff welcomed their second baby boy in March. His name is Roc. How cool is that?!? His big brother, Cade, was into Rocky movies and boxing the whole time Missy was pregnant. And since they couldn't agree on a name for the baby, they started calling him Rocky. Cade is pretty proud that he got to name his little brother!

Even their super cute dog, Leo got in on the action! He was determined to get in every shot. It was pretty funny!

When Missy and I talked about their session, she asked if her niece could have a few photos taken with her two cousins as a Mother's Day gift for grandma. I'm so glad she asked...Isla was such a little doll! And Cade was such a great big brother and cousin! Cade plays baseball, just like his Daddy. He told us how he plays for the White Sox. And on Saturday, they were playing against the Phillies. He was so excited about this game because the last two against the Phillies were rained out. So, when Missy took Roc in to feed him, we took Cade and Jeff outside to warm up before the big game. We hope you had a great game Cade!

The Gutierrez Family...with one on the way! ~ Redlands

Sarah and Alex are the loving and proud parents to Sebastian and AJ...and are about to add ANOTHER boy to the mix! Baby Boy Gutierrez will be making his debut later in April, but this little guy is already so loved. Sarah works at a local elementary school, and Alex is working to put himself through school. He wants to be a nurse. Sebastian is almost 9 and quite smart. AJ is 7 and very funny. We absolutely enjoyed our time with this beautiful family on Saturday. Fortunately, the weather was perfect and the location awesome! We shot at the University of Redlands, which is where Terry and I had our engagement photos done 8 years ago. Awww...

One of things we absolutely love about this family, is how much they laughed! They had so much fun just hanging out as a family. It was easy to photograph them.

Sarah is absolutely glowing...her sons and her husband call her their princess. It's so cute!

We can't wait to meet this little guy next month! Congratulations Sarah, Alex, Sebastian, and AJ! This baby is lucky to have you as his family!

Louise & Andrew ~ Engaged!

They met at Baylor University in Texas, where they both majored in Fine Arts. When they were done with school, they moved to California with big dreams. Louise is an actress (a darn funny one too!) and Andrew works in film and digital media and writes the scripts that make Louise so darn funny. They have been together for just over two years. And for their 2nd anniversary, Andrew got down on one knee...at Disneyland...and asked her to marry him. Their actual engagement was videotaped by a friend and was the sweetest thing EVER!

We met Louise and Andrew last summer when they were a part of a stylized photo shoot we did at Hartley Botanica in Somis. We absolutely fell in love with this couple! They are smoldering hot, super funny, and totally goofy! And Louise is a Friends fan! We were quoting random lines from episodes and no one else had a clue what we were talking about! We were thrilled when they asked us to do some engagement photos in their beautiful new home... Yes, this is a Lord of the Rings chess set. And yes, this was all Terry's idea! Well, except having the King and Queen make out...that was Andrew's idea. And you may not believe it, but this is Louise's chess set.

Isn't the love just pouring out of her? Louise loves "nose kisses!"

Something tells me that Andrew doesn't mind watching Louise put make-up on as much as he claims to...

They have this stunning gazebo in their backyard...a perfect place to practice their wedding dance. I think they could've danced in each other's arms the rest of the afternoon.
